Rowan Armour-Brown Trust (RAB)

I am Secretary to the Rowan Armour-Brown Memorial Trust Fund which seeks to maintain the high standard of violin making and restoration in Britain. It offers support to students of violin making at UK colleges, in the following ways:

  • Financial grants which help towards the purchase of wood or tools, or fund specialised additional training.
  • Distribution of tools and wood that have been donated to the Trust to students who can make good use of these materials.
  • Work experience placements with established craftsmen, which gives students the experience of working in a professional environment.
